First of all, you have to connect the wires to the one traveler terminal.
Just disconnect the wire from another traveler terminal and leave it blank.
After removing the traveler wire, just install the wire connecter on it and the other side of that wire will be on the load side.
Then, to the other traveler wire, connect the 3-way switch common wire, to supply switched line voltage to the light and install a blank cover. See the below diagram:
Then remove the 3-way switch from the line side box. Connect the line wire to one of the traveler wires using a wire connector, to supply line voltage to the 3-way switch in the load side box. To make the other traveler free, install a wire connector on it. And then install a blank cover on the box.
Remove the traveler spare wire from the switch in the load side box, and then attach a wire connector to it. See the below diagram:

46. How to test the 25mm push button switch before installing it?
You can test the 25mm push button switch in four steps.
Turn on the multimeter and select the ohmmeter function.
The resistance range should be ‘x1’.
If the ohmmeter has auto range capability then you can skip this step.

Insert the leads into the meter and touch the probe tips with each other to check whether the meter is working or not.
If the meter shows 1 or less in the display, it means the meter is working fine.
If it shows some other figures, just change the ohmmeter.
