Tri-colors L16T Series
The L16T Series is part of Langir’s extensive line of anti-vandal switches. Its tri-color illumination style option makes it unique compared to the other series. It has higher protection against dust, water, and even impact making it ideal for outdoor use where a rough environment is expected.
The L16T Series is extensively certified. It has a maximum switch rating of 3A/250VAC, a hole diameter of 16 millimeters, and can function either momentarily or in a latching way.
This series offers several high-quality material options including stainless steel, nickel-plated brass, and anodized aluminum with an IP degree of IP65 and impact protection of IK09.
As to its degree of protection against ingress of dust, foreign objects, and moisture identified through its IP rating, the L16T Series has the maximum protection against ingress of dust and water projected by a nozzle measuring about 6.3 millimeters coming from any direction.
The L16T Series provides you an option to customize its actuator depending on the type of illumination you want including dot, ring, or Langir’s newest power backlit symbol which can also be combined together with ring illumination.
In terms of illumination color, you can choose from red, green, yellow, blue, and white, or a combination of the three colors namely, red, green, and blue to make it tri-colored. All these LED colors have a life of approximately 40,000 hours.
In terms of the illumination voltage options, you can choose to retain the base voltage of the following LED colors: red and yellow at 1.8 V and at 2.8 V for blue, green, and white LED colors. If the base voltages do not fit your need, you may opt to increase the illumination voltage to 3.3 V or twice its original size, up to 220 V.
The L16T Series has a solder lug as its sole terminal option with a measurement of about 2.0 by 0.5 millimeters. This terminal option may not work best for you if you are considering it for large production runs, but it can work effectively if you will be working with high current ratings.
It also provides you multiple actuator options including flat and raised that require approximately 3N to 5N of operating pressure.
When operated without a load, the L16T Series allows you to enjoy a mechanical life of vastly 2,000,000 cycles. In terms of its lifetime when carrying a full-rated current, the L16T Series has an electrical life of 100,000 cycles.
It works best when the operation temperature is around -20 °C to 55 °C.
To prevent contact corrosion at the earliest time possible, knowing the contact resistance of the L16T Series which is at 50 mΩ Max can be beneficial. This measurement is essential for ensuring that the contactor’s make/break contacts are in good working order.
Additionally, this series has an insulation resistance of 1000 mΩ Minimum, a dielectric strength of 2,000VAC, and a contact material made of silver alloy which, in the future, can help check for damaged insulation.
All of the above-mentioned features make the L16T Series a popular option when looking for a vandal-resistant switch that can withstand damage due to heavy use and environmental factors.
