VS19 Series Short Body Anti Vandal Switch
The VS19 Series is part of Langir’s comprehensive line of anti-vandal switches with short bodies. The distinctive aspect of having a short body distinguishes this anti-vandal switch from its other counterparts. It’s a great choice if you’re short on space but don’t want to lose efficiency and quality.
The VS19 Series Short Body Anti Vandal Switch has passed several certifications including CE, ROHS, REACH, to mention a few. It has a maximum switch rating of 2A/48VDC, a hole diameter of 19 millimeters, and can function either normally open or normally closed.
The VS19 Series’ actuator and body can be made of any of the following materials: stainless steel, nickel-plated brass, gold-plated brass, or anodized aluminum. Polybutylene Terephthalate, or PBT, is used as the base.
The VS19 Series guarantees complete protection against foreign objects, solid materials, and dust with its ingress protection of IP65. When it comes to damage that may be caused by water, it is also protected from water projected by a nozzle that approximately measures around 6.3 millimeters. This is regardless of the direction of the projected water.
When it comes to impact protection, the VS19 Series guarantees protection against 10 joules of external mechanical impact. By estimate, this is roughly equivalent to a 5-kilogram of mass dropped from a free fall height of about 200 millimeters or 0.20 meters.
An option to go for a flat actuator, high actuator, or domed actuator is provided by the VS19 Series. However, there are no illumination style options for this series, but you can have its actuator laser-etched. This also requires an approximately 5N of operation pressure for the switch to work.
A solder terminal and a screw terminal are two of the VS19 Series terminal options. Depending on where you’ll need them, the two perform better. When operating with high current ratings, the solder terminal, which measures about 2.8 by 0.5 millimeters, has an advantage. However, if you’re considering it for big production runs, this may not be the most recommended. The screw terminal, however, works effectively when you have to deal with narrow wire gauges.
A switch’s mechanical life is often expected to be longer than its electrical life. When the VS19 Series is run without load or current, 1,000,000 cycles can be expected. When operated at maximum rated current, however, this series can only sustain up to 200,000 cycles of electrical life.
When it comes to choosing the best working environment, it is best to consider that the VS19 Series is supposed to be used in an environment with an operating temperature of -20 °C to 55 °C.
It has a maximum contact resistance of 50 mΩ, a minimum insulation resistance of1000 mΩ, and a dielectric strength of 2,000VAC.
With all of the features mentioned above, the VS19 Series Short Body Anti Vandal Switch is the recommended vandal-resistant switch for small or limited spaces. It has a remarkable degree of protection that makes it suitable for use anywhere, in addition to its unique features.
